I love the Russian language...
and so, I'm on youtube and I stumble on this really interesting young entertainer. He is called Vitas, a knickname of sorts.
He happens to be a Russian male soprano, or countertenor I think they are called...something like that. At any rate. He is a pop singer and very popular in China. The red scarf is worn for this song because of the really odd video he made for it where he has gills; someone mentioned that whoever came up with his video subject didn't fit the translation at all. At any rate 3 of the videos I saw, looking for the translation in English, showed him in different outfits but always the red scarf; however in other videos he does not wear a scarf. Btw, check out the audience they show you after he sings the "chorus"
.

My goodness. I wish I could hit such a high note! :hmmmmm:
I don't think that is the audience...those are the people up on the stage behind the "orchestra" doing weird roller coaster type moves. That was stranger than fiction alright!
Well that was kind of...surreal. Jake sneered and said, "He sings like a girl." Hmmm...bet he'd be great in a modern version of Victor/Victoria, though!
Surreal is right! Victor VIctoria would be a great role for that guy...but we will pretend that we don't remember that movie. (nods head)
I linked to Little Dorrit...so go, enjoy before they take it off...they are selling the DVD for $50! :what:
Megan and I love it. :celebrate: Megan says she hates to argue with Jake but dang he was awesome!
About "Victor Victoria", that was a woman pretending to be a man who was pretending to be a woman. With "Vitas Vitashna" it would be a man pretending to be a woman pretending to be a opera singing techno-pop Rusky. :what:!! I'm so enjoying the 21st century! :flirty:
